SECOND CHANCE
The combat of
Bayonetta
with the art of
Killer 7
in the world of
Mirror's Edge

Second Chance is a fast-paced hack-and-slash game I created as part of a team. The above videos are a trailer, a meet the team video and an overview of some of my proudest contributions to the game.
Unreal Engine, C++

SILENT STREET & CampusRun
I created Silent Street to replicate the rendering style of PlayStation 1 Silent Hill and CampusRun to promote 3D navigation of one of my university's campuses to new students.
Both projects have been created as part of an Advanced Technologies project - to explore the applications of certain technology. The video (right) goes into depth on my projects.
Unity, C#, HLSL

Tiny Knight
A short multiplayer vertical slice I created to learn networking. It features multiplayer combat against an enemy, multiplayer chat, player movement, a tilemap system with collisions and a menu.
C++, SFML

Red Riding Hood
A 2D side-scrolling platformer vertical slice where you play as little red riding hood and must escape the big bad wolf.
C++, SFML

Scarle Jumper
A 3D, first & third person infinite runner game where the player must jump from platform to platform and shoot targets to increase their score.
C++, DirectX11, DirectXTK, Scarle Engine

PrimalHop
A 3D movement-based vertical slice in which the player gains speed after each jump. This mechanic is utilised to traverse platforms and complete levels.
Unreal Engine

Inventory Systems
I created an inventory system in both Unity and Unreal Engine, both with unique elements.
Unity, Unreal Engine, C#

Roots²
A mobile learning game aimed at young people to teach square root mathematics. Numbered pillars rise and the player must collect the corresponding coin to the square root of a pillar to reset it and prolong their life.
Unity, C#

Thorn
My first game project I created in A-Level Computer Science; the player fights a boss enemy in this 2D pixel-art game and possesses various movement mechanics.
Unity, C#

Skills.
My years of game development and design have taught me many software's and languages.
Git
Git has been used throughout my university course, I've used it primarily for version control, employing agile software development in all my projects through ticket systems of task allocation as well as feature branching strategies throughout group-work and my solo projects. I've also used GitKraken and GitLFS.
I've used C++ for many projects, in both Visual Studio and CLion. I've applied this language to Unreal Engine, DirectX11, and SFML.
I've used C# for countless Unity projects. This has involved integration with HLSL and use of Unity's ShaderLab.
C++
C#
My love for Unreal has grown rapidly throughout using it. I began my university course by being stubborn on the fact that Unity > Unreal; however, I now love both engines equally and find both to be applicable for different projects.
Unreal Engine
Unity started my game development and design journey. I love this engine and find it to be very versatile.
Unity
Simple & Fast Multi-Media Library (SFML)
SFML is an API written in C++, which I've used to create 2D games. It's more hands-on than an engine like Unity so I find it useful for learning. It puts into perspective certain inner workings of games.
DirectX
I used DirectX11 (Direct3D) with DirectXTK in C++ to create a 3D game (Scarle Jumper) as well as in through HLSL in Unity to create shaders.
High Level Shader Language (HLSL)
HLSL is a shading language used with Direct3D. I used this language with Unity to create shaders such as in my project "Silent Street".
Aseprite
Pixel-art is a passion of mine, I love creating pixel art for my games and implementing it in engine. I have over 500 hours use time in Aseprite.
Autodesk Maya
I've practiced 3D modelling in Maya extensively and have implemented my models for usage in Unity and Unreal Engine.
Achievements.
I have numerous extra-curricular achievements both inside and outside the world of games that I feel speak for my character.
Hong Kong Exchange Trip
In June 2024, I was selected to represent the University of the West of England Bristol as one of three Games Technology students on a Technological Cultural Exchange trip to Hong Kong on behalf of the School for Higher and Professional Education (SHAPE). We visited multiple universities across Hong Kong and took part in activities such as making a game within a few hours - which my team achieved 1st place in. We created a game in which the player must navigate Hong Kong to make it back to their hotel.

With my limited experience of working with Adam, I've known him as one of the best students from the BSc Game Technology of 2025. He has demonstrated meticulous research and game development skills through his final year project. Employing / Partnering with Adam would be one of the wisest decisions for your business and your innovative game project.
